Question, the Lexus is standard with Air Suspension, but what about the J200 Land Cruiser?

They have some sort of kinetic suspension but I’m not sure if it air. Its hard to google search as every market is different . I did enjoy the air suspension on the LX570 because in the pictures , look at all that clearance I gained.

Well its a good thing you like the LX, cause it sounds like it will probably replace the Land Cruiser in the US market.
Frankly I think the spindle design is the only thing on the LX570 that is wrong. Trouble is that its VERY wrong. Its so huge that in person up close there is no subtlety to even texture. It all looks like it was photo
shopped to that size then willed into existence
.

Lexus LX 570 does not have air suspension, but rather a hydraulic suspension system. Much more durable .

Its a hydraulic system very Similar to the x reas suspension on the 4runner sport edition. Does the same thing as an air suspension with lowering and raising the vehicle but waaaay more reliable. The lc offers the lexus suspension and lexus interior on other markets. But the standard kdss suspension has alot more aftermarket support. On the 100 series in America most people dump that system for a standard lift kit with traditional springs and dampers. As the prices on this falls i believe most overlanders in america will swap out that system like they do on the 100 series

I still love the spindle haha. I think this is the first time they’ve gotten it right enough though

Regular coil springs and shocks on the lc200. It does have kdss - hydraulic linked sway bars. Great for articulation. Coil springs are just more reliable for long off road trips. So probably the best choice for a trip across Africa. The hydraulic system on the lx is great for more moderate use. And better i n the highway.
